Hello again!
If i am not mistaken, the soundex() algorithm has a main difference from
the one in portuguese - while the soundex() generates a number for the
string, the phonetic one generates a phonetized string.
Anyway... I will prepare the unit to be posted as a contribution, with
comments with PasDoc and all!!

Eg:" Michael Van Canneyt" would be transformed to "MIXAEL KANEITI"
