Hello,

I am having a problem with Free Pascal 2.0.0. I am trying to write my own IDE using the Free Pascal compiler. I didn’t know how to check and see if the compiler had an error from my IDE, so I wanted Free Pascal to save the error information in a file. So, this is what I typed:

ppc386 c:\test\main.pas -Fec:\test\error.log –vew -Scigh –Un –O3Gp3 –Ratt –FDc:\fp\bin\i386-win32\ -Fuc:\fp\units\i386-win32\ -Fuc:\fp\units\i386-win32\rtl\ -Flc:\fp\units\i386-win32\ -Flc:\fp\units\i386-win32\rtl\

It does not print anything to error.log! I have tried many different things through about 6 hours (so much for <30 minutes), and nothing worked. What do I do? This is somewhat urgent.

Also, you probably need to know that I’m using the i386-win32 version of Free Pascal. My system info is:

Processor: AMD Athlon XP 2500+

Memory: 512MB PC2700 RAM

Video: GeForce FX 5200 128MB

I am running Windows XP Professional and I am developing the IDE in Visual Basic .NET 2002.

Thanks,

Alex C. Barberi
