Which is very bad practice for a commercial IDE (makes third-party commercial components support only some versions of Delphi [had suggested to Borland to sell a special bundle with all Delphi versions from 2 and up in it for component developers, but haven't seen this happen yet unfortunately]). Some people had used Delphi trial versions in the past to build resulting in their apps showing expiration messages later on (the RTL had this built in as it seems) ---------------- George Birbilis ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Computer & Informatics Engineer Microsoft MVP J# for 2004-2007 Borland "Spirit of Delphi" 3D, QuickTime, QTVR, Java, Delphi, ActiveX, .NET components, Robotics http://www.kagi.com/birbilis http://birbilis.spaces.live.com _______________________________________________ fpc-devel maillist - fpc-devel@lists.freepascal.org http://lists.freepascal.org/mailman/listinfo/fpc-devel
