Hi,

I've downloaded FPC 2.2 binary for Linux from SourceForge. I can't
seem to install it? What does that error message mean? I don't do
cross compiling and I run on a i386 computer (Intel P4 32bit
processor).

---------------------------------
:tmp$ sudo ./fpc-2.2.0.i386-linux.tar
This shell script will attempt to install the Free Pascal Compiler
version 2.2.0 with the items you select

Install prefix (/usr or /usr/local) [/usr/local] : /opt/fpc-2.2.0
No native FPC found.
For a proper installation of a cross FPC the installation of a native
FPC is required.
:tmp$
----------------------------------------------

I've also tried specifying the /usr/local directory and still get the
same error.

--------------------------------------
:tmp$ sudo ./fpc-2.2.0.i386-linux.tar
This shell script will attempt to install the Free Pascal Compiler

For now I'll just check out the source from SVN and compile it
manually - that always seem to work for me.

Regards,
