Actually if the compiler vendors don't do that it help us a bit. Our
libraries already have been redesigned for the 4.0 release to utilize vast
number of cores, and if the compilers don't have the multicore support, it
simply will give us competitive advantage ;-) . We are on the winnig side in
this case :-D .

I think it's the world upside down. Intel should be engineering stuff we
want, not the other way around. If "we" compiler/application developers
don't develop multithreaded programs then they can't sell their expensive
processors anymore. Seems wrong to me ;-).
