I don't know. The problem is not that ansistring var parameters are
completely broken, since there is a lot of working code out there that
uses them. If you can make a compilable example program that
demonstrates the problem (preferably one that does not require indy,
since it will have to be simplified anyway for adding to the
testsuite), please submit a bug report.
