I've now tested on Linux/x86-64 and it works fine there as well. Are you sure your local copy of rtl/linux/Makefile matches http://svn.freepascal.org/svn/fpc/branches/cpstrnew/rtl/linux/Makefile ? The output you posted suggests that your Makefile compiles the RTL units in a different order than the Makefile in svn.
