Funny: Optware is hosted by nslu2-linux.org (-> http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/Optware/Packages?from=Unslung.Packages ). The slug Linux also is supported by there ( -> http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/SlugOS/HomePage) so I would think it likely, that the Linux distribution for the Slug would use ipkg.
