I think that problem is more widespread that just the USA. I have seen it often in the UK and RSA too. I also believe that is exactly the reason why Borland changed the name of the language from Object Pascal to Delphi. Lets see, what new names can we use.... C became C++, then we got C#, then we got D. Umm..
