Already did that, the following section should match my reader: ----------------------------snip----------------------------------------- The driver does not support the fingerprint reader with USB ID's 147e:2016 found in some of the newer ThinkPads. This hardware is currently unsupported by libfprint. The device is believed to be a UPEK TouchStrip but the existing code does not work. It's not clear if these are newer revisions or whatever, as the Eikon devices (which are brand new) still use the 'original' revision. It should be easy to add support for these other devices. We just need someone to run the closed-source UPEK driver on a system while logging the USB bus traffic. This is easy to do. Write to the list if you've got UPEK's driver running and are up for the task. ----------------------------snap----------------------------------------- Therefore I herewith wrote to the list, suggesting the UPEK binary driver was at least realizing the reader. Perhaps someone can tell me what to do under linux to get the data you need for implementing this device.
