I managed to get fprint working on my LG T1 Express laptop no problem, running Gutsy as well. I set it up to use the PAM module....but had to discontinue use, since there were times when Gnome would need to authorize, but no visual indicator was provided that a fingerprint scan was required. Needs some better integration with Gnome and the gksudo dialog process before fprint would really be usable in the real world. But it was really close!
