Pre-beta. Nothing properly stabilized. Your question should actually be "does gksu properly support PAM now?" since pam_fprint doesn't do anything wrong in that area. (pam_fprint's deficiencies are listed on the pam_fprint homepage, but are unrelated to this issue) It turns out that quite a few applications, gksu included, do not really cope well with PAM modules that do something other than request-username-then-password. Lots of work is going on behind the scenes which brings us closer to decent application integration. But there is still quite a bit more to be done.
