We have project funds for things like this. As for push access, I'd rather keep this as a personal repo. If you're looking for ways to make it easier for you to submit your work, you could push your tree somewhere and ask me to pull (I can probably provide hosting for this if you want). Or you could look into git-send-email. Given that you're the only person working on fprintd at the moment, we could also consider making your tree the "main" one at the moment, until development has slowed and I've finished off the lower layers ready to work on this stuff again.
