Hi, I presume that this image stuff is not supported by libfprint for security reasons, but as it depends on imagemagick there must be some internal functions that work with the print in the form of an image. the first place I would look into would be the source code of libfprint, it should be there somewhere. After you find the process of generating fprint data structures from images gained from scanners, you should be able to write a little conversion tool yourself.
