Some code cleanup and bugfixes have been made.

The PAM module can now be used for login into gdm without prompting for
the username before. The fingerprintIdentifier now writes the login name
of the identified user to stdout. It can be called for
identification/authentication out of scripts or other executables. The
executables are now available in two versions:
"with-upek" -- linked against UPEK's libbsapi.so and libfprint.so;
"fprint-only" -- linked without any proprietary code.

The project was tested on Ubuntu 8.04 and SuSE 11.0 (with gdm) with a
build-in UPEK fingerprint reader.

A snapshot of the current version can be downloaded on

http://www.pdfserver.net/fingerprint
(download fingerprintGUI-0.4.tar.gz).

See "README" in there for more information.

I'm very interested in test results (from other systems/devices),
comments, suggestions.

Regards

Wolfgang Ullrich
