I was wondering when libfprint 0.0.7 was planned?

I'm asking because Ubuntu 9.04 has libusb-1.0. For all currently
released versions of Ubuntu, users have to compile libusb 0.9 and hope
it doesn't result in collisions with libusb 0.1. Since the version of
libusb needed for upeksonly is being included, we users have some hope
now. Of course, we still need a newer version of libfprint than the one
from March, because upeksonly isn't in there. I'm personally hoping
this hardware can be working out-of-the-box in Ubuntu 9.04, but for that
to happen we need to have a version of libfprint from August (I think?)
or newer included in Ubuntu.

Should I start trying to convince people that a git snapshot would be a
good idea? Or can I expect a release in the next couple months that I
can point to and go "look! new upstream release!"? I generally expect
pointing to a new upstream release to receive more positive attention
from the developers than pointing to a version control system and saying
"somewhere in there, there's a working version."

I'm not trying to rush you guys or anything. I just want to know now
much convincing I need to do.
