First of all, hello, everyone!

It has come to my attention (from firsthand experience) that some UPEK
fingerprint readers with the ID 0483:2016 installed in Sony SZ laptops fail to
cooperate with open source software. This is apparently because Sony has
mandated to UPEK that the device accept a certain key of sorts before it will
respond to the fingerprint reader. As one might guess, only Windows software
gets to have this key.

This annoying fact aside, UPEK has released a new SDK which works with BioAPI
1.10. It is available from here:
http://www.upek.com/solutions/pc_and_networking/sdks/linux/DownloadBSP.asp

I would like to incorporate support for this into libfprint. The SDK is
binary-only. Is this compatible with the fprint license?
