I've come over some more information per this bug report [1].

The GPL'ed gui application hosted here [2], uses either libfprint, or,
optionally upek's proprietary API to provide fingerprint scanning
under linux. With the particular device I'm concerned with here,
upek's blob actually works. Obviously, I'd still much rather have this
working with open source APIs and software, so my question is, having
the device working under linux, can I provide more useful logs using
usbmon?

Let me know if I can do anything!

(By the way, I'm still having problems registering on the bugzilla.
I've tried several usernames, but there's no confirmation coming my
way at all...)

Regards,
Khashayar
