Hello everyone,

I currently have access to both those devices on a thinkpad T400 and a
fujitsu stylistic ST6012. I am willing to provide USB log data of both(where
should I send them? they're likely to be quite big) though I'll need to get
windows up and running first.

In a previous posting Daniel Drake wrote:

AuthenTec AES2550. I think it's in the same range as the AES2810,
perhaps a slightly smaller version or something like that.
Fujitsu-Siemens are including it in their latest laptops.

Again, the process for getting this going under fprint/Linux is to get
some USB traffic logs from the windows driver, and ideally get a device
in my hands or the hands of another capable developer."

Well, I'm not sure how capable I am, but I am imho a decent programmer. I
haven't worked with usb device drivers before(or any device drivers for that
matter) so I wonder of how much use I'd be.

Anyway, I'm willing to help and to sink quite a bit of time into this. As a
first step, if you need the USB data, just let me know where to post it. If
I can be of help developping a driver, pointers to useful
articles/tutorials/etc... and advice on how to get started is more than
welcome.
