I have a UPEK device that is not supported by fprint (TCS4C 147e:1000).
However, the binary drivers from UPEK does support it. I guest that fprint
is the most used API to access fingerprint devices. How about to create a
optional fprint device driver as a wrapper to UPEK's BSAPI? I don't know
fprint internally but I think this can be accomplished in a short time. This
also would help the cases when reverse engineering is used.
