I recently got an HP dv7 laptop with a finger print reader - http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/computer_can_series.do?storeName=computer_store&category=notebooks&a1=Category&v1=High+performance&series_name=dv7tqe_series&jumpid=in_R329_prodexp/hhoslp/psg/notebooks/High_performance/dv7tqe_series - true to form they don't really mention exactly what model number the finger print reader is. I'm on Ubuntu 9.10 - 64 bit and lsusb reports:

$ lsusb
Bus 002 Device 005: ID 03f0:231d Hewlett-Packard
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 064e:c107 Suyin Corp.
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 138a:0005 DigitalPersona, Inc
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 8087:0020
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0020
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

On the Ubuntu forums somebody said this device was not supported. I've heard there isn't that much development going on. Any chance this device might be supportable?
