Hi, my name is Víctor. I'm Salvadorean and the Spanish is my language; so, I
apologize if my English is too bad.

A few months ago I bought a DigitalPersona U.are.U 4000 optical sensor for
work in a project of my University. I have to develop a application using
biometrics (fingerprint recognition). Since I met of the fprint project, I
found this very much more that interesting. I want use libfprint for develop
my graduation project.

Before of start the development work, I wanted test the libfprint library
with fprint_demo, however I can not scann the fingerprint. Before of start
the development work, I wanted test the libfprint library with fprint_demo,
however I can not scann the fingerprints. The application indicates that the
device is ready to use; when I proceed to scan my fingerprint, the sensor's
light turn on, however, I place my finger in the sensor's window without any
results. Apparently the device is waiting for finger but it not responds to
this action.

I've been testing in different versions of Debian, Ubuntu and Suse;
installing from repositorys as well as compiling from sources. I've been

finguerprint-gui developed in Qt (
http://www.n-view.net/Appliance/fingerprint/index.php), getting the same
problem.

After deal with this problem for a long time without any positive result, I
decided request for your help. I'll be very grateful.

I'll wait with many expectation for your response.

Thanks!
