Alternative 4 was voted down. All resolutions were referred back to
sponsor,
meaning last year's vote stands. And according to town counsel, last
year's
vote gave the selectman the power to do whatever they wanted. And yes,
the
two options you mention are the only ones being considered at this time.
The
financial information was not reviewed thoroughly, and the logic behind
the
estimates for the different routes was not explained. So town meeting
members only heard that Carter Drive approach will cost the town
$800,000
and the Wayside Inn approaches won't cost the town anything.
