Dear Neighbors,

My continuing take on construction projects with betterments and amenities
attached is that we, that is, the Town, need to insist upon much larger
completion bonds AND liquidated damage clauses that require cash from the
developers, secured by property liens. The bottom line in business today is
money talks. If we make compliance less expensive than non compliance,
compliance we shall have.

thanks for the update. the part that makes me really nervous is that the
initial homes may be on wells to jump-start the project until the betterment
goes in. REMEMBER the town water that the original homes in doeskin were
going to have?!! remember the "TEMPORARY" reliance on wells??-just until
the developer made enought to cover the cost......etc.etc.etc. and, after
many years of unforseen events,
the residents are still waiting for that town water for doeskin 1 and
doeskin 2... what needs to be done(and how do we make sure it is) so that we
don't create that doeskin 3? kathy
