Two incidents I'd like to bring up that were both on Wayside Inn Road.

The first was that there were kids a couple of weeks ago in Igor's
mansion. The people who heard the noise didn't know to call the police.
This house is attractive to teenagers for some sort of fertility rite that
I'm glad I've almost forgotten about. Please call the police if you hear
trouble up there.

The second concerns the logging operation that is going on in George
Harrington's land at the entrance across the street from John and Dacia
Callen's place at number 43. Some kids went in and added water to the gas
tank of a log splitter. If you see anything suspicious, please don't
ignore it.

On the good side, we have not heard any gunshots (that I know of)
since we escalated the hunt for the deer hunter in the neighborhood. :-)

As a side note, I think we all get a little nervous when we hear the
chainsaws running. This is a very legitimate operation being run by
responsible high quality people for a Title 61A logging requirement. The
trees that are targeted are mostly trees that have a certain amount of
disease associated with them; cutting them down makes the rest of the
forest healthier. The people doing the work are very concientious and
work very hard. I mention this, not because anyone thinks that the
vandalism was done by ecoterrorists, but just so that people can
appreciate when good work is being done. I suspect that few people
get more nervous than I do when I hear the chainsaws, but I checked
this out and these are the good guys.
