Hi Bob, Sorry about that - CR is a conservation restriction. This is a binding contract to preserve land usually in perpetuity allowing the land to remain in either a private ownership or some other ownership but with restricted use of the property. The restriction is usually held by a conservation commission or non-profit group such as Sudbury Valley Trustees. Some open space land owned by a town can have a CR purchased on it by the state. This is also used as a funding mechanism. The PUD is a Plan Unit Development. It is an overlay district with special "zoning" to allow for a different usage other than the traditional zoning of a parcel and is approved by the governing body of the community. The PUD is usually multi-use: single-family homes, duplexes, condos, 55 housing, affordable housing and includes convenient stores, parks, open space and other various amenities. Hope this helps.
