I wasn't going to bother to post this, but the principle of the thing really gnawed at me by the end of the article. There's a quote by the Rev. Carol Ann Parson, pastor of Wesley United. Now I assume that there's an element of lack of context associated with all MWN articles, but if the quote is properly in context, then it's a classic example of Someone Who Doesn't Get It (but in a nice way).
