(As Frank Zappa used to say: "Call any vegetable, and a vegetable will
respond to you.")

A number of interesting conversations with people has led me to the
conclusion that there has to be *some* sort of controls/charter to what
gets posted to this list. So in that spirit I offer the following one-time
announcement to this list in the hope that if people want to see more of
this type of thing they will subscribe to the newly created
Framingham Community <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

The announcement is below.

Frankly, the Wallace Nutting stuff has been adequately justified to me by
a number of people as being vastly relevant to Framingham Town Government
and so is proper fodder for frambors. The sale of vegetables is
considerably more of a stretch, but I don't want people to be left out in
the cold, and so the new list has been created.

framcom is open to all announcements and related discussion to what goes
on in the town. You may post school plays, yard sales, lost dogs, sales
of vegetables, all of that.

To subscribe:

* Send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and say subscribe in the body
  of the message
* Or, go to http://frambors.syslang.net/cgi-bin/mj_wwwusr and just use the
  Really Cool Web interface.

Please feel free to subscribe.

Also, tell all your friends.

Thanks for listening and for your patience.

Subject: Farmer's Market

Please forward to appropriate list

I received a flyer in the mail this week.

The Thursday Farmer's Market starts again this Thursday, June 19, in the
parking lot behind Ken's Steakhouse, next to Borders. Growers from Western
MA come to Framingham to sell their goods.

The market will be open from 1PM to 5:30 PM every Thursday until October
30.

I am posting this because the Market cannot be seen from the road, and in
past years people have been disappointed at missing the opening weeks
until word of mouth had gotten out.
