Rick Quatro came to the rescue yesterday and helped me find where the issue was located (and turned me on to Wordpad++)-although we couldn't tell exactly what Frame didn't like.
When we excised the relevant table (TblID), the MIF opened properly. I've informed the LSP so they can deal with the original file at their end as it's probable (in my estimation) that the offending item/character comes from their tools. Thanks again to Rick! Without his help, I'd still be floundering. Rick Quatro has offered (off-list) to have a look so If no one in my "chain of command" has any objections, I'm definitely going to try that. Craig, At first I would try to open the MIF file in a UTF-8 capable text editor. Are there any problems? Then you could try to open it in another FM-version (You know, in a lower level you will get messages about skipped features), but it should be possible. _______________________________________________ This message is from the Framers mailing list Send messages to framers@lists.frameusers.com Visit the list's homepage at https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://www.frameusers.com__;!!Oq50-tQ!tVLX5d-lYrSqHAUCG4JcMullVddo2X97YBx39CbZwrkrMTGtBdbiMz7rTCnSvp3921DB4V5s5Mtp3Kdls9ThU_Y$ Archives located at https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://www.mail-archive.com/framers*40lists.frameusers.com/__;JQ!!Oq50-tQ!tVLX5d-lYrSqHAUCG4JcMullVddo2X97YBx39CbZwrkrMTGtBdbiMz7rTCnSvp3921DB4V5s5Mtp3KdlmQ5qZjo$ Subscribe and unsubscribe at https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://lists.frameusers.com/listinfo.cgi/framers-frameusers.com__;!!Oq50-tQ!tVLX5d-lYrSqHAUCG4JcMullVddo2X97YBx39CbZwrkrMTGtBdbiMz7rTCnSvp3921DB4V5s5Mtp3KdlYmqPs0I$ Send administrative questions to listad...@frameusers.com _______________________________________________ This message is from the Framers mailing list Send messages to framers@lists.frameusers.com Visit the list's homepage at http://www.frameusers.com Archives located at http://www.mail-archive.com/framers%40lists.frameusers.com/ Subscribe and unsubscribe at http://lists.frameusers.com/listinfo.cgi/framers-frameusers.com Send administrative questions to listad...@frameusers.com
