OK,

Soooooooooooooooo, now after deciding that they didn't want numbering on the
headings, my client now has flipped-flopped and wants numbering. Sigh. So, I
did the following:

1. Removed landscape pages from the available Master Pages.
2. Turned on room for side heads in the template: Format > Page Layout >
Column Layout. (I then double-checked all my master pages and all have a side
head showing.)
3. Started with my Heading1 paragraph tag and started the Numbering scheme
where H:<$chapnum>.<n+>\t and adjusted the tab until I was happy.
4. For my Heading1 tag, selected Across All Columns and Sideheads.

But then . . . .I get that infamous message that applied a side head paragraph
format to a paragraph in a flow that does have room for side heads, BUT as you
can see in Step 2, I have applied side heads. I give. . . If anyone can point
me in the right direction/explain what in the H*LL is going on, I would
sincerely appreciate it.
