I am using the TimeSavers Form Assistant add-on to create a form. I want
to combine (concatenate? append?) strings from two text fields in a PDF
to calculate new text in a third text field, where:
field1=abc (user enters the 3 letters of text into this field)
field2=123 (PDF provides these numbers in text as a default value)
field3=abc123 (desired calculated new text result)
So abc+123=abc123
From the Form Assistant FM2PDF menu in FrameMaker, it looks like a
"Calculation Field Marker" is what I need to use to do this. It has a
JavaScript option, but I know nothing of JavaScript. The Calculation
Field Marker dialog has a box for JavaScript, with the following label,
"Field names (enclosed in quotes and separated by commas) or Javascript
code."
Can someone tell me what to enter into that box to generate the desired
field3 result from combining field1 and field2?
