TW-857 Technical Writer - Staff - Northridge, CA
Location: Northridge, CA
Salary: BOE
A manufacturer of medical devices needs a technical writer who will be
responsible for planning, organizing, writing, and editing product User
Guides and Instructions for Use for regulatory submissions and the consumer.
You will research engineering schematics, technical design specifications,
interface design, design diagrams and test specifications with design
engineers and Product Managers. You will help coordinate and design the
layout and manual organization. You will acquire and organize source
materials, including applicable specifications, engineering write-ups, and
drawing packages.
While the client would ideally like someone that has written for medical
devices, the client is willing to look at candidates who have written
instructional materials for the general public.
Must be able to work is a fast-paced environment, be a team player, and be
flexible.
Requirements:
o. 2 + years experience documenting medical devices (Desired but not required)
o. Experience using FrameMaker and Acrobat (Required)
o. Experience with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator a major plus
o. Experience preparing files for press experience is highly desirable
