Formatting consistency is important when your unstructured FrameMaker
documents are converted to other formats such as HTML and XML. Consistent
character-level formatting is also critical when converting unstructured
documents to structure. Instead of using Character Formats, authors may use
the Format > Style menu or buttons on the QuickAccess Bar to apply
formatting. In addition, documents that originate from word processing
documents may have local formatting applied.
