Single-sourcing projects often depend on extensive use of conditional text
and variables to combine multiple deliverables in a single FrameMaker
document set. A big challenge can be setting the correct show/hide settings
and variable definitions for a particular version of a manual. The
traditional approach is to alter the settings in one of the documents and
then import those formats into the rest of the documents. While this method
works, it can be tedious and error-prone when there are large numbers of
conditions and variable formats.
