Hi Laura,
Forgive me for the short answer, but put to put it plainly, WebDAV in
FrameMaker does not work. It is poorly implemented, and it is doubtful that
Adobe will fix it.

Hi.
We're trying to use FrameMaker's (7.1) check-in/check-out function.
We have a virtual WebDAV server set up with several documentation folders.
On my machine, I can see the folders in Windows Explorer but cannot see
the
folders through FrameMaker's File > WorkGroup > Open command.
The same situation exists when I Remote Desktop to the server itself.
Windows Explorer on the server can see the folders, but the FrameMaker
instance on the server cannot.
I have tried creating the folders through FrameMaker itself. I thought
maybe Frame couldn't see the folders because it didn't create them. FM can
create the folders (which I can see through Explorer), but it still does
not "see" them.
FrameMaker documentation says that the folders will appear in a drop-down
list, but only the server nickname appears, no folder names.
I get no error message.
The server administrator has made sure my machine has rights, and we've
shared all the folders.
I have looked at the WebDAV information available on Adobe's site, but it
does not seem to address the issue (at least not to someone with my
minimal
technical expertise).
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you!
