Hopefully, the problem is due to numbering series. How is the autonumber string defined? What other series are used in the documents? How are the captions created? Unfortunately, I have experienced numbering problems if the caption is a text frame within the anchored frame. If the anchored frames are copied, and not created from scratch, the numbering sequence eventually breaks. But for that to happen in ALL your files seems bizarre. Unless all the files were started from a common copy... Perhaps with more details we can be of more help. Eric L.
