In your xref "code" you can add references to tags. For example, in a "blank" FM file you can:
1. select Special > Cross Ref 2. Click "Edit Format" 3. If required, select Heading & Page under Formats Now review the Definition: \`<$paratext>\' on page\ <$pagenum> You can change it to this: \`<Emphasis><$paratext><Default ΒΆ Font>\' on page\ <$pagenum> Now the "paratext" will be in the Emphasis format. Build on that idea and you should be good to go.
