TW-916 Technical Publications Manager - Staff - San Jose, CA
Salary: BOE
A biotech firm in San Jose is looking for someone to manage and
expand their technical publications group.
You will be responsible for:
o. Managing and coordinating the activities of writers/editors
between sites in San Jose and San Diego.
o. Plans, schedules, assigns and reviews work. Performs final review
and editing of all publications.
o. Carrying out Human Resources management responsibilities, employee
training and development.
o. Keeping abreast of US and non-US regulations.
o. Ensuring Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures
are followed.
Requirements:
o. 8 years technical writing experience (Required)
o. 3 years managing a technical publications group (Required)
o. Expert proficiency with FrameMaker and Acrobat (Required)
o. Experience developing online help (Required)
o. BA/BS degree in a life/physical science, English, Technical
Communications or a background in science (Required)
o. Experience in an FDA regulated environment a major plus
o. Understanding of flow cytometry, mass spectrometer or lasers is a
major plus
o. Prior experience coordinating documentation translation a plus
