Since years I have the following autonumber definitions for lists in my
   template:

Character style: wingdings (defining the font Wingdings)

   lb-bulleted-list

                   bullet character: ß (= \xa7 ) §

   lc-checklist

                   bullet character: ® (= \xa8) ¨

   lcc-checked-list

                   bullet character: ¸ (= \xfc ) ü

You may wish to define a character format Bullets which defines both the
font and a somewhat larger font size than the ordinary text - to match the
   desired appearance.
