And beyond that, it means that they didn't embed fonts, so reproducing
it accurately may be a little dicey unless it's printed from a system
that has all the required fonts.

It means you don't have that font installed on your computer. Just the same
as in Frame, you need to have the font installed on your computer in order
to be able to use it.
