Same problem here:
1. Uninstalled beta test copy first.
2. Restarted Windows.
3. Installed FM8 trial version.
4. Started FM8 and I get to see the splash screen saying "You have 30
days left in your trial period". Great! This gives me plenty of
time to prepare a "what's new in FrameMaker 8" seminar for my
FrameMaker trainees.
5. Selected "Continue Trial" and clicked Next, but got the message
"Product License has expired". Sigh!
Indeed Sarah, you were right in saying: "Caution for beta testers:

on the frameusers list indicate difficulties with installing the trial
version on a system that had a beta version installed."
So far for my "first impressions".

I was a beta 8 tester.
Beta 8 expired yesterday. I downloaded the trial 8 copy and installed.
All went
fine.
Started program, get splash screen for trial and since I have not

yet, I click Continue Trial and then Next. I get a small dialog box

Great....so I call India for support and they tell me to delete all
temp files.
I do that, plus all the chk files. Still won't open past dialog box.
I tried setting my PC's clock, but then I get the same screen wanting
a code,
which I do not have.
Anyone out there know the fix for this? Of course, I need to work with
Frame two
