One note: unless it has been corrected in FM 8, the displayed glyphs are
frequently wrong for the Symbol and Zapf Dingbat fonts in the
Character_Sets.pdf document (at least on the PC versions of the
program), and have been incorrect for several versions (at least back to
FM 6.0).  The character names for the symbol set are correct, so if you
know the name of the character you want the list is still semi-useful...

I learned the Control-Q <character> shortcuts first, as I was working
originally on Sun and later Windows versions of Frame, and then the ALT
nnnn combination, so I can work in FM across platforms and also in other
Windows applications.  I don't pretend to know them all, but I do know
the dozen or so I need regularly.
