   Well, first you'll need to learn how to work with structure. As far as 
structured authoring goes, I modestly recommend my own self-study course on 
that topic. Is there an existing structured template for you to use? If 
not, consult the online Structure Application Developer Guide. Does the 
project involve SGML or XML? If so, there's probably a DTD or schema you'll 
need to use. Depending on the nature of the desired structure and whether 
styles were used in the Word document, you will probably want to use a 
conversion table to deduce an element structure from the paragraph tags in 
the unstructued document.
