Thank you everybody for your responses and help. Dave - you were spot on. I added the FILE: port and all is now working again, printing to AdobePDF as I should.
But I will still take a look at FM8 :). I have come across a few situations where the FILE: port disappears, which means you can't produce a PS file to distill to PDF. The FILE: port on a colleague's PC disappeared after she installed Acrobat 7.
