And in addition to this, make sure that your View Options include turning on
all text symbols, or you won't be able to see the anchor points or
paragraphs.

If you want to split a table... just define and cut the tail of the existing
table.

Add a couple of carriage returns, go the the last empty one, and paste the
cells that you deleted. They'll come in as a new table, and you should see
the anchor point of the new table in the empty para.
