Thanks so much for the comments so far. A lot of my comments are of the "must change" variety, but a lot of my comments are "it could be this way if you mean this, and it could be this way if you mean that" and the author realizes, "oh! not clear," and rewrites in a third, clear way. This is probably a small issue, but I just wanted to check with you experts to see how the world at large handles it, before I start laying down the law here in my corner of the universe.
