What are your system specs: OS, RAM, and amount of free space?
If you have graphics in your files, are they copied in or imported by reference?
And, do you usually have other large applications (Photoshop,
Illustrator, etc.) running at the same time?
If the crash occurs simply when you open the files, it is most likely
a resource issue. But if it happens when you try to update or do a
search-and-replace, it's possible that some content in the component
files or the files themselves are corrupt... Can all the files be
opened one at a time?
