I vaguely remember that fonts can also be stored in graphic files-in certain graphic file formats. If you have graphic files in your book, that might be a clue..
I encountered the same problem years earlier before but can't recall how I resolved it. I only remember frustration at looking "everywhere" for the reference to the font and not finding it.
