Art:

I'm running CS2 so I have Acrobat 7 but I don't think that matters in this case.

When I tried this a couple of years ago it failed due to my initial document
setup procedure (I treat each half of the legal page as separate pages so, not
surprisingly, Acrobat didn't want to deal with that). This was pre-FrameMaker
so if I follow some of the FM suggestions I've been sent, I should be able to
avoid this issue in future.

If you have Adobe Acrobat (I'm using 9 Pro; not sure how old this
feature is), you can output any PDF in booklet format by:

   1. Choose File > Print and select the printer.
   2. Under Page Handling, choose Booklet Printing from the Page Scaling menu.

Then set up whatever other options you want....

If you're done, you can print it to a hard printer. If you want to
redistribute it, you could run it back through your PDF printer to
create in imposed version.
