I don't know if there's an FM9 bug (but suggest updating, as Jeff recommended). But I don't understand why you're changing the DPI through Object Properties _after_ the import. When importing a graphic file (File > Import > File, or Esc f i f), after you select the file in the Import dialog box, the Imported Graphic Scaling dialog box appears. There, you can choose from the following: -- Fit in Selected Rectangle -- One of four standard DPI settings, 72, 75, 150, and 300 (with resulting image dimensions shown in parentheses) -- Custom dpi, followed by a text box where you can specify the setting you want, e.g., 120 > I'm also finding that when Frame inserts a new graphic it "stretches" it > lengthwise, making it totally distorted - Frame 8 never did this. If the graphic is being stretched, that strongly suggests that you have the Fit in Selected Rectangle option selected in the Imported Graphic Scaling dialog. I believe that dialog retains the last used setting. I'm not sure why you seem to be unaware of that dialog box. I just noticed you used the word "pasting" -- are you using copy/paste instead of an actual file import? Bad, bad, bad idea. And that would explain why you don't/can't set the DPI correctly initially. Richard G.
